Military Personnel

As a hospital within the Military Medical Academy (VMA), BPLR–Bankya provides rehabilitation services for military personnel and their families.

Who Is Eligible

• Active military servicemembers of the Bulgarian Armed Forces
• Reserve military personnel
• Civilian employees of the Ministry of Defence
• Family members of the above categories (subject to bed availability)

How to Be Admitted

Military personnel are admitted through the Military Medical Academy system. A referral from a VMA physician or the unit medical officer is required.

Services Available

All rehabilitation services available to civilian patients are also available to military personnel, including balneotherapy, physiotherapy, neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation.
